| Description | The bibliography follows the eight volumes of Bibliografie československé balkanistiky /Bibliography of Czechoslovak Balkanistics/ which were published from the mid-1960s to the beginning of the 1990s. The previous volumes represented the common production of Czech and Slovak Balkanists. The presented volume of the bibliography aims at upholding that tradition and tries to show that even after the break-up of the Czecho-Slovak state researchers and publicists have kept close professional and social contacts and that in the particular area of Southeast Europe studies researchers from Czechia and Slovakia may continue to complement one another very well. Individual subject bibliographies follow: linguistics, literary studies (incl. culture studies), historiography, ethnology, Byzantology (together with archaeology) and Ottomanistics. |
