| Description | The link between end user and the public network is key to the delivery of todays applications and services for the subscribers. Subscribers local network relay on ethernet technology. The natural idea is to use the same technology for access network. In comparision with legacy first mile technologies ethernet as defined in IEEE 802.1 is missing performance monitoring capabilities. Past two years IEEE devoted a lot of effort to deploy some management capabilities to this popular protocol. |
