| Description | The article claims that similarly as there is a historical plurality of the Czech and Hungarian or Christisan and Jewish identities there is a plurality of European identities. In the case we want to understand how identity forms are constituted we need to turn our attention to the symbolic and institutional struggle of various identity forms. European identities are not spontaneously crystallizing around core European values but are reflexively constituted in the field of symbolic struggle for cultural hegemony. |
