| Description | The study returns to the problem of language and genre shifts in Russian fiction and non-fiction at the end of the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st centuries. It is based on the analysis of the material of Russian literary periodicals and selected texts of literary criticism and presents the change of the character of literature and literary criticism and, at the same time, the preservation of certain continuity in the sense of exposing ethical and social functions. |
