Description A year-round measurements of moss cover/soil temperature was performed close to the summit of Woozle hill (Galindez Island, Maritime Antarctica) in two contrasting moss covers differing in microclimate. Temperature sensors were set into the depths of 2,5,10,,15 and 20 cm. Soil temperatute was measured in 1 h interval and stored into a data logger. Due to microrelief differences resulting in diferently-lasting snow cover, the physiologically-active time for mosses was estimated 40 and 110 days.
