Description According to many authors, transport is considered to be an important factor stimulating the development of tourism. The roots of modern tourism are sometimes associated with the intensive evolution of railway transport in the second half of the 19th century. The paper demonstrate the effect of the above mentioned factors on examples from the Czech Republic.
