Description The basic conjunction of concessive clause in the Czech of Baroque period was ač/ ačkoli. Only in isolated cases previous jakkoli was used, rarely the polyfunctional conjunctions jak, když. It was also the time when the conjunction i když began to appear. The conjunction byť that originally played the role of irrelevant conditional (conditional-concessive) conjuction, tended in the baroque to be the basic conjunction of concessive relationship losing its status of being a conditional component (bychom+ť > byť bychom// bysme).
