Description We attempted to quantify the impact of ipt expression on the structure of aseptically grown seedlings in comparison with reporter, activator and WT (A. thaliana Col0) controls. Safranin and Fast green were used for double staining of paraffin sections. Phenotypic signs of cytokinin overproduction were observed in crosses of reporter and activator lines. Plantlets with activated ipt were typical with larger shoot apical meristem, in which the transition from vegetative to generative phase was earlier than in controls.
