| Description | The aim of the symposium was an interdisciplinary discussion on the topic of body and corporality in social sciences. Gender confrontations offer ground to compare perspectives of various paradigms and disciplines at a scientific level and thus withdraw from the popular discourse of mass media that view the issue of gender and human biological conditionality as a frequent topic of stunt and justification of various social disparities. Gender Confrontations II introduced a discussion about how to deal with the nature in social scientific disciplines, how natural sciences can be enriched by social sciences and vice versa, and how social scientists can or should not examine the notion of the nature and human nature. |
