Description | The post-war expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia has been reflected also in Czech literature. This paper illustrates the reflections on three notable works: Jaroslav Durych's short story "Boží duha", Jan Procházka's "Kočár do Vídně" and on the first volume of the autobiographical trilogy "Svatby v domě" by Bohumil Hrabal. It is emphasised that Christian willingness to profess guilt and forgive has eased the Czech-German and Czech-Austrian dialogue on the grievous topic. |
