| Description | This paper focuses on economic freedom and its relation to competitiveness in the sense of possibilities of economic growth. It starts with description of the initial state of institution in economy after the collapse of communist regime. The main part analyses the development of institutional environment and state inferences in Czech Republic during 1990–2005. The classification of economic freedom and the structure of this paper are made according to Fraser Institute and its “Economic freedom of the world” index. Also the second index from Heritage Foundation is added. Paper however discusses rather qualitative aspects of economic freedom than the development of index alone. |
