Description | In the paper I defend the conception according to which the natural language is modeled as a code (a mapping from expressions to meanings) as materially adequate and I argue against objections towards it recently raised by V. Svoboda. Then I largely discuss another, but more fundamental, Svoboda's objection to the natural language logical analysis as supposed to be an analytical discipline, namely that the decoding of meanings is a trivial matter of mere association of meanings with expressions. The inspection in the real area of the work of logical analysts shows that the enterprise is highly non-trivial, for its strong connection, for instance, with conceptual analysis. |
