Description Telomere is a specialised chromatin domain at the chromosomal end composed of telomeric DNA and various telomere-associated proteins. In plants these proteins can be classified into following groups: 1) the family of proteins with Myb domain at C-terminus (IBP); 2) proteins with Myb domain at N-terminus (Smh), both binding dsDNA of telomeric repeat TTTAGGG; 3) the ssDNA-binding proteins (RRM); and 4) other proteins that act also in non-telomeric chromatin regions.
