Description The analysis is based on defining the legal framework for the institute of the termination of an employment expressed in international and European instruments in which the fundamental social rights and freedoms are laid down. The main attention is concentrated on the analysis of the individual forms of the termination of the labour relationship. Further the study report deals with the court protection of the parties against the termination of the labour relationship and with the position of trade unions in the process of terminating this relation. The final parts of the study report appraise the Czech legal regulation form the point of view the ILO Convention No. 158 (1982) and deal with the preparated changes of this regulation. The conclusion based on the made analysis is that the Czech legal regulation of the termination of an employment corresponds to the principles laid down both in international and European instrument.
