Description Czech family law has not changed much after the access the European Union. There are many reasons. First of all, the principal changes were done after the 1989, mainly in the field of human rights. At early 90s the first steps towards diskontinuity with socialistic family law were done. Now, the recodification of czech civil code is in proccess. Family law norms were included into the second part of the designed code. Come-back to traditions is the main goal of the reform. New aspects, for instance protection of family housing and civil law norms agains domestic violance, are reflected by the authors.
