| Description | Terminological issues continue to tie the hands behind of those who seek to clarify problems of classification and definition. It is actually impossible to obtain a stable and conclusive definition of the phenomena that surround us, for any new user of this or that concept brings about, whether he likes it or not, a new factor which may modify the definition by applying it into a new context and, making it therefore, radically different. This is also a thorny ground for any researcher in the field of literature since any attempt to classify or simply establish a link between literary and extra-literary processes exposes the danger of challenge because of the versatility of the definitional concept he uses. This text attempts to identify some contributions that have considered the concept of modernity under different angles. |
