Description | This paper presents results of an investigation focused primarily v on the level of pupils'awareness of terms and relationships in the environmental area across subject areas. Among them there is environmental edlicatioiz ainzing at acqiíiriiig competences in favour of environment presenation and the principles of sustainable developnient. Ecological literacy becomes tíze subject of an investigation and its level is defined as the basic indicator of environniental education success. The paper presents results of an investigation ainied chiefly at tíze level of piípils' awareness of ternis and relationships in the environmental area across the curriculum. By referring to the areas in which pupils are unsuccessful we intend to draw attention to the continuously low effectiveness of environmental education at schools. In the final part we indicate new possibiluies offered bv school educational programmes. |
