| Description | The paper is one of the outputs of research project Adult education at various stages of the life cycle: priorities, opportunities and possible development (project no. 1J 017/04-DP2, supported by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic). One of the parts of the project concentrates on the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in private and professional lives of adults in the Czech Republic. We used a questionnaire survey to identify several groups of adults depending on how the respondents characterized themselves with respect to computer/ICT use. The paper will focus on whether respondents categorized within the above-mentioned groups had recently participated in an educational event and whether differences between these groups as to participation in educational events can be identified. |
