Description Stipa ucrainica of the S. dasyphylla group is reported here as a recently recognized species of the Bulgarian flora, found in three sites in north-eastern Bulgaria in the Black Sea (North) floristic region. Its occurrence in a fragment of a low-land steppic community confirms that West Pontic grass steppes represent natural vegetation of some parts of north-eastern Bulgaria.
