Description Surveys of citizens satisfaction represent an important technique for obtaining the feedback from the public and the starting point for goal-directed improvement of public services. Measurements of satisfaction of citizens may bring the information enabling the real improvement only if the measuring tools are based on knowledge of the key criteria of service quality, which has been identified from the point of view of citizens/ services users. The contribution presents the partial results of the project of the Czech Science Foundation no. 402/07/1486 “Measurement of Citizens Satisfaction with Public Sector Services as Integral Part of Quality Management in Public Sector Organizations”, the aim of which was to identify the key criteria for measurement of satisfaction of public libraries users.
