| Description | The main goal of this paper is to describe and analyse the role and the position of financial intermediaries (bank institutions in particular) in the 6CE countries in the years 1990 - 2006. The paper deals with bank intermediary activity, that is offer of free financial means to residents, which generates favourable conditions for economic growth. The first part of the paper is about the situation in the banking sector before and during the transformation. The rest of the paper characterizes the banking sector of each economy with focus on the provided credits to the groups of economics sbjects. |
