Description For the fortification wall at the Early Medieval centre Pohansko near Břeclav there were used the Sarmatian sandy limestones, which prevail above Paleogene flysh sandsotenes. The Chvojnice Hilly land (Vienna basin) and Bílé Karpaty unit (Carpathian flysh belt) represent the source area of the rocks. Results achieved within the interdisciplinary research project MSM0021622427.
