Description Price discrimination (differentiation) is not generally prohibited, even not for the sake of consumer protection. On the one hand, even economically well reasoned double prices might be banned because of their possible negative impact on the functioning of single European market. European law is not only a source of a more economic approach but at the same time a brake of an overstated economic approach being able to distort both common sense and the integrity of the single Community market.
