Description The paper summarizes results of geochemical and experimental examination of the Loštice pottery. The affect of garnets on formation of blebs was experimentally verified. The blebs form by thermal decomposition of almandine. The firing temperature must have exceeded 1200st.C. A clay nodule found during archaeological works and loess were used as a plastic raw material for replicas production.
