| Description | Present-day Czech variations depending on territorial and social factors are observed on the material from the Corps of private correspondence. The study is focused on spreading of one selected feature of Common Czech, namely of the diphthong ej. Factors relevant from the viewpoint of sociolinguistics are rectified with the help of statistic calculations. |
