Description This report is based on the findings elaborated in a inaugural dissertation written by doc. PeadDr. Marie Blahutková, PhD. (2004). In this research we had been proving that the manifestation of psycho-social stress is noticable as early as in childhood. We had tried to find out the amount of stress in children, verify the mechanism affecting this field and suggest methods to reduce stress and anxiety in children. The examination file was composed of pupils attending first grade of elementary school of the South_Moravian region (n=56). 28 pupils of this file took part in pedagogic experiment and 28 pupils attended control examination. The research was held in years 2005_2007. In the research theese methods was used: Personal health-questionary for children, Questionary of physiological, emotional and behavioral symptoms of stress for young people (Blahutková, 1996), Questionary for teachers, questionary of the personality of younger school-age child, and a Pedagogical experiment including programmes of sportingly-kinetic activities for health. The research confirmed the theory, that even the younger pupil's health can be positively affected by proper aplication of sportingly-kinetic activities. Findings of this research became suggestions for elaboration of many scientifical projects as well as formation of new subject called The Movement and mental health at Faculty of Sports Studies.
