Description Aphrodisin, a member of lipocalin family, plays important role in chemical communication in hamsters, it influences their copulatory behaviour. The aim of study was to identify novel genes for aphrodisin like proteins in other cricetid rodents (Myodes glareolus) using TOPO cloning based on hamster aphrodisin sequence. Obtained Myodes DNA derived sequences were verified by MS/MS techniques on protein level and several aphrodisin isoforms were confirmed
