Description | The occurrence of prosimetrum, the alternation of prose and verse, in Ancient Greek and Latin literature was usually associated with the Menippean satire; however, prosimetrum also found its place in ancient novelistic literature. The aim of the treatise is to consider what is to be taken for a genuine, stylistically totally relevant prosimetrum. |
