| Description | In this short article, we deal with the problem of how to define what Thiry called "proses", i.e. poems having "prose" in title. We come to the conclusion that, far from creating a new literary genre, Thiry uses the word "prose" as a label, as a sign to show that the poem in question either does not come up to what he considers as the poetic standard or fulfils other goals than those of the rest of his poems: thus, the distinction seems fully pragmatic. |
