Description | The paper provides an analysis of connective particles as cohesive textual means in the Byzantine narrative texts, specifically in the Early Byzantine chronicles (John Malalas (6th cent.), Paschal Chronicle (7th cent.), Theophanes Confessor (8th/9th cent.)). In order to examine different functions of the particles in various types of discourse structures, the method of pragmatic analysis is used. |
