| Description | This article presents the lexical differences which are the results of the translation to konkani of the various meanings of the polysemic item amour (fr.) and its strong similarity with love (eng.). So we reflect on a sociolinguistic explanation of this phenomena, particularly the cultural importance of the family in Goa. |
