Description | This contribution examines the interplay of some epistemic stance devices in a corpus of theses written by Czech students of English language and literature as means for expressing evaluation. In addition, it seeks to examine differences in the expression of stance in theses written in the fields of methodology, linguistics and literature and cultural studies. |
