Description The structure of the former Lateran canonry in Šternberk ranks at present among the finest preserved monastic houses of the Augustinian canons within the territory of Bohemia and Moravia. The aim of the specialised texts and pictorial material of the collective monography is to point out the art history transformations of the canonry within the context of the 18th century (contributions by Filip Hradil, Jiří Kroupa and Martin Pavlíček). The painting décor of the interior of the canonry and the parish church is again emphasised in connection with the restauration work, which is going on today (contributions by Milan Togner and Michaela Šeferisová Loudová).
