| Description | The author of the anthology Silesian Songs had a good grasp of the ancient speeches as early as his schooldays, and so he was able to read the old Greek and Latin pooetry in original wording. There is no wonder that the poet, in this way, gained a good possibility to utilize some of the poetic means used by the ancient poets in his own work. From these literary echoes of the antiquity in his poetry this paper follows especially his metrics. |
