Description | The project aims to clarify the ways the sympathizers of detraditionalized spirituality distance themselves from other actors in the religious field. The project reacts to researchers' frequent supposition that the participants of the holistic milieu have negative attitude to institutionalized, established religions, which contributes to construction of a dichotomy between "religion" and "spirituality". Its aim, while employing the means of qualitative research, is to contribute to deeper understanding of creation of borderlines within contemporary religious field, to clarify the relationship between the so-called traditional (churched) religion and detraditionalized (unchurched) spirituality and evaluate the usefulness of the "religion versus spirituality" dichotomy for the study of contemporary religiosity. |
