Description The term "olive-shaped" glass bead is used in Czech archaeology for the long time, but for its ambiguity is not very suitable. We should distinguish the "olive-shaped smooth beads" and "olive-shaped lengthwise latticed beads". Article deals with the form, glass, measures and production technology of these two types of beads, which were found in early medieval cemetery in Dolní Věstonice - Na pískách (South Moravia).
