| Description | As other EU member states the Czech Republic is supposed to transpose the Directive 2008/48/EC into its legal order. The article deals with some new rules concerning consumer credits in the Czech Republic. The first part concerns the insufficient factual solution in the European Directive which may manifest itself negativelly in the degree of consumer protection in some member states. The article deals with a (possible) transposition error included in the draft of the new Czech law on consumer credit (concerning morgage). The third remark then criticizes a certain stereotypical attitude of Czech lawmakers to choice of sanctions for violation of some information duties regulated in the Directive. |
