| Description | The edition presents the text of "Di tutsch kronik von Behem lant", a rhymed German translation of the Old Czech Dalimil Chronicle from the 14th century including the annalistic overviewfrom the same manuscript; also available are other language versions - the Czech original (reprinted from the relevant edition) and the fragment of the Latin translation. Included are the modern German translation of the Old Czech Chronicle and a selective translation of specific parts of the medieval German text into Czech. A concise introduction to the edited texts summarising the most topical features of this text complex is given in Czech and German. The printed book is accompanied by the digital version of the edition which provides not only the primary texts, but also the facsimiles of the source manuscript for the rhymed German translation of the chronicle. In this digital version the synchronisation of parallel text passages is featured, as well as the fulltext search. |
