Description | Some new approximations of Fisher information are introduced and theor properties are derived. These approximations are applied to locate the optimal odorant concentration in two simple theoretical models for coding of odor intensity in olfactory sensory neurons. The results are compared with the deterministic criterion and with results based on Fisher information measure. |
