Description In its introduction the text introduces environmental ethics and moves the topic into the area of environmental education. Further, the text studies five areas of estrangement through which environmental ethics and the way it is taught to future teachers could be viewed: anthropocentric and geocentric values in everyday life; two types of information and a crisis of perception; and the influence the abovementioned areas could have upon the education of future teachers. The text is based principally on the works of Josef Šmajs, Josef Vavroušek and David Abram.
