Description The author demonstrates that the almost forgotten proposition of William Petty from the 17th century that - "labor is the father and the Nature the mother of all riches" - is of timeless validity. According to the author this proposition suggests that only the Nature can be a source of social riches: the Nature constrained by common human will inside the human body or a natural activity external to humans and controlled by science and technology. The current process of abiotic automation therefore results in an ideological confusion of the public. People don't understand that in the contemporary predatory culture they can exploit and plunder the Earth even by their consumption and through immediately non-productive spiritual labor.
