Description This article deals with a controversial category: postmodernism (which makes postmodernism). It aims to justify the imposition of this concept from the realm of philosophy, in the field of literary studies. In the tension between thought North American and European Thought, while mainly referring to Jean-Francois Lyotard, he questions the postmodern in its relationship with modernity, between denial on one hand and critical reading of the other. It is from this perspective that captures the work of Jean Echenoz, especially the Greenwich Meridian, as history of literary modernism. This monographic study allows him to conclude that, if we observe in all contemporary productions renarrativisation of a novel, it is under the influence of postmodernism on the user necessarily ironic.
