| Description | The paper focuses on the assessment of life situations of adolescents suffering from mental disorders. The autor deals with the question: How are life situations of adolescents with mental disorders different from adolescents without diagnosis (common population)? For this assessment, a model consisting of four main dimensions of needs, was constructed (originally by Navrátil, Musil, 2000; adapted by author). Within those needs, other subdimensions by means of specific indicators were compared. The work has a quantitative structure. Based on the results, we came to conclusion that in practice, frequently used assessment of basic or physiological needs is not appropriate, because the observed group show more significant difficulties in psychological dimensions, especially social. On the contrary, a positive finding was found in noogenic dimension, which can be considered one of resilient components of adolescents with mental disorders. |
