Description	The article focuses on the influence of the Kelsens theory of law upon the legal thinking in the Czech Republic. The reception of Pure Theory of Law in Czech legal thinking can be analyzed on three historical axes: first, the reception of Kelsens theory in the normative school of law (Weyr, Engliš);second, the marxist critic and third, contemporary reception in the czech legal theory.
