Description Translation. Rules of Art (1992) represent one of the major late works of Pierre Bourdieu. The author examines the process autonomization fo the literature (and art) in relation to other spheres of society, like religion, politics or economics. The rules of art are excellent studies on the border between literature and sociology of science: the detail involved in literary and artistic field in France of the nineteenth and twentieth century, starting with the Flaubert’s Sentimental Education. Bourdieu provides insight into the thinking of today as the fundamentals of social science.
