Description The study analyzes methodological approaches typical of the contemporary philosophy of sport - in the Czech Republic, especially - i.e. phenomenology and analytical philosophy. These approaches works with the out of date equipment (roughly from the 1970s). Absolutist dispositions of them enable Czech academic routinists to repeat cliches that help them to project the contemporary ideology of sport philosophy into their thinking. At the end of the study, the author introduces a new - more appropriate - approach, i.e. critically historical philosophy of sport.
