Description The author of the present article tries to analyze the three specific subjects concerning the problems expressed in the title, i. e. the specific features of the Central-European area, its structure and specific relations, especially with East Europe, mainly with Russia and, above all, the Czech reception of Russias cultural and literary phenomenon on Masaryks conception in Russia and Europe and, finally, on the example of the Brno habilitation and professorial chair of Roman Jakobson and the so-called vota separata understood as a sort of the clash of the two cultural spaces.
