| Description | This text deals with the problem of the digital divide. The phenomenon is analyzed through Van Dijk's model of access to technologies, enhanced by the views of the sociological theory of capital and psychological theories of adaptation and self-efficacy. The theoretical part is followed by a qualitative research pinpointing the main motives and barriers. Also, some key aspects of overcoming this new form of social exclusion are identified. |
