| Description | This article reflects the Mašín brothers’ resistance group, which operated in Czechoslovakia in the course of the so-called foundation period of communism. It contains an analysis of the contemporary Czechoslovak and German press concerning the problem in question. The problem of the Mašín brothers’ resistance group has not yet been properly tackled. Owing to the fact that the problem has not been dealt with yet, the thesis is largely based on my own study of archival materials, both Czechoslovak and German, and it is also built upon my own analysis of twelve dailies, including copies of the German press. In addition, a great deal of information was gathered from interviews with the Mašín brothers, their sister Zdena and Milan Paumer. |
