Description The study deals with the development of medieval pottery in Brno in the 12th- 13/14th centuries. Until the beginning of the 13th century traditional production dominated. From the first half of the same century onwards the infiltration began from Austria of pottery of a higher technological level and with agreater variety of forms. By the end of the 13th century, with the exception of large storage vessels, only the advanced ceramics of late medieval type were produced. The development of the pottery in this period can be divided into 5 periods
